Introduction

What Omnislice is, what it replaces, and how to decide whether it fits the way your business actually sells.

On this page

Omnislice is a commerce operations platform. One catalog, one stock pool, one order book — connected to every place you sell, whether that is your own storefront, a marketplace, a social channel or a shop floor.

Most merchants do not arrive here because their platform stopped working. They arrive because the stack around it grew: a subscription platform, a marketplace integrator, a PIM, an email tool, a promotions app, a middleware layer holding the whole thing together, and a person whose job is quietly to reconcile all of it. Omnislice is the argument that most of that belongs in one system.

What sits inside the hub

Everything below is native — not an app you install, not a connector you maintain, not a bill from a fourth vendor.

What stays outside

Omnislice is deliberately not your payment processor, not your carrier and not your accounting system. Those are markets with real competition and real price pressure, and you should be free to change your mind about any of them without changing platform.

That is the whole reason payments are processor-agnostic: the platform charges you for the platform, and your processor charges you for processing. Nobody takes a percentage of a transaction twice.

Note

Every claim about fees, migration effort and connector coverage in these docs describes how the platform is designed to work. If you are evaluating, ask us for the numbers against your own channel mix rather than a generic example.

Who it is built for

Omnislice suits you if more than one of these is true:

  • You sell through more than two channels and someone reconciles stock by hand.
  • You run B2B and B2C off the same inventory and your platform only really understands one of them.
  • You are an agency or operator running several brands and want one console, not five logins.
  • Your app subscriptions cost more than your platform and you cannot say precisely why.

If you sell one product line through one storefront and it works, you do not need this. That is a fine place to be.

Where to go next

If you want the vocabulary first, read Core concepts — organisations, projects, channels and the catalog are the four words the rest of the documentation leans on. If you would rather see it working, the Quickstart takes an empty workspace to a live channel with a synced order.
